Spiritual Formation

The Cathedral Institute is a ministry of All Saints’ Cathedral bringing formational opportunities to the parish and to the Diocese of Milwaukee through in-person and on-line offerings.

From the beginning, humans have realized that there is more to us and more to the world we experience. It has been said that we are “spiritual beings having a human experience” (Teilhard de Chardin), which is why we are drawn to the good, the true, the beautiful, and the transcendent. Spirituality has been defined in many ways over the years. John Macquarrie has written, “Fundamentally, spirituality has to do with becoming a person in the fullest sense.” Sandra Schneiders says, “[Spirituality is] the unique and personal experience of individuals that calls them to integrity and transcendence.”

Spiritual formation discussions at All Saints’ Cathedral are offered so we can become authentic persons and discover that how we think about God – theology – walks around with us every day.
